Time to Mobilize!
In light and reflection of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the one year inauguration of President Barack Obama, I am in awe of the power of one and the collective through consciousness, compassion and action. In the wake of the devastating quake in Haiti and its aftermath, an opportunity has risen to individually and collectively affect change again. It is time to mobilize!
Many, like me, have expressed deep concern and a desire to do something to aid in relief. KidzCan is mobilizing a Clothing Drive for Haiti, an outlet that needs your support. We may not be able to comprehend their grief, but we can understand and provide clothing for the body, shoes for their feet, a jacket, scarf, or a blanket to keep warm.
How you can give is by cleaning your closets and drawers. Donate usable clothing items; hence, not tattered or torn. Simply gather:

Jackets
Clothing will be needed for men, women, and children. Sanitary items, like undergarments or socks, should be purchased and left in original packaging, if you are able.
KidzCan is a Youth Empowerment Organization based in Los Angeles mobilizing efforts with Pat Finn of Agape International Spiritual Center and United Friends Foundation for the Children of Haiti (www.usfch.org). Drop-off sites will be announced via email, facebook, and at www.kidzcaninc.com. Official drop off site is: 130 S Beaudry Ave/ Los Angeles CA 90012/M-F, 10a- 6pm.
